Kilim Natural Dye - Beige - 2' x 3'

This heirloom-quality rug in beige tones with hints of orange and turquoise is a petite rug, perfect for a small space or under a side table or in front of a sink. Kilim rugs are handwoven and hard-wearing. The wool is naturally dyed from hand-gathered raw materials, supplemented by already mixed indigos and cochineal, to deepen these natural colors. These versatile rugs bring a warm elegance to any room.

Each rug is one of a kind. Colors and patterns vary from rug to rug, making yours uniquely yours. Photos show examples; the rug you receive will have its own distinct combination of colors and patterns.

HANDCRAFTED IN PAKISTAN

  • Materials: 100% wool on a cotton or wool warp and weft. Handwoven on vertical looms.
  • Care: Vacuum as needed. Do not vacuum fringe. Spot clean when necessary with mild soap and water, the sooner the better. Major cleaning is generally required every 10‒20 years. When the time comes, you can take it to a professional rug cleaner or wash it yourself on a sunny day with very little castile soap, like Dr. Bronner's. Lay the rug on your just‒swept driveway. Add just a bit of soap and use your clean fingers and feet to wash. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Dry the rug thoroughly on a flat surface.
  • Notes: A 9'x 12' rug is handwoven by 4‒5 experienced artisans, working six hours a day for 5‒6 months. How do I say Kilim: Kill‒im
  • Measures: 2' x 3'
  • Colors: Beige, orange, turquoise
  • Handcrafted in Pakistan
