Welcome to our global maker-to-market movement where, together with 20,000 artisans, we ignite social change. We create opportunities for individuals, families, and communities in developing countries to thrive through strong relationships, fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable practices.

All of the other reindeer... wish they were wind chimes, too! Cleverly constructed from bamboo, this piece was created by Filipino makers earning sustainable incomes and building stronger communities with the support of our fair trade partner CCAP. (This reindeer isn’t a rain-deer, so be sure to keep him sheltered from the elements.)

THE MAKERS
Community Crafts Association of the Philippines, popularly known as CCAP, is a social development nongovernmental organization committed to the development and empowerment of community–based Filipino artisans. CCAP provides marginalized artisans with export promotion and marketing assistance. Locally, CCAP links artisans with government or nongovernmental agencies supporting the handicraft industry. CCAP administers programs that have reached out to various sectors of the society such as the disabled, indigenous groups, urban poor and rural poor communities. Currently CCAP works with more than 600 active artisans nationwide. Ten Thousand Villages has purchased products from CCAP since 1985.
