The Happy Chirping Wind Chime makes for a delightful housewarming gift (for someone else or for yourself!). This wind chime is handcrafted by artisans working with our partner Community Crafts Association, which provides marginalized artisans with export promotion and marketing assistance.

HANDCRAFTED IN THE PHILIPPINES

  • Bamboo, metal, and wood; black string
  • Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations enhance authenticity.
  • Each top of metal chime measures 2-2.25 inches from horizontal bamboo "branch;" All metal chimes: approximately 0.5D inches; First and seventh chime: 6L inches; Second and sixth chime: 7L inches; Third and fifth chime: 8.25L inches; Middle chime: 9L inches; Top horizontal bamboo "branch": 11L x 4.25H x 1 inch thick; Two wooden birds: approximately 2.25L x 1.25H x 0.5 inch thick; There is a horizontal piece of bamboo (5.5L x 0.75D inches) hanging from two black strings and measures 5.5 inches down from the horizontal bamboo "branch;" A dimensional, wooden leaf (2W x 3.25H x 0.25 inch thick) is hanging from horizontal bamboo piece with one black string and measures 6 inches from horizontal bamboo piece; Larger hanging cord at top (attached at each end of bamboo "branch"): 18L inches; Loop for hanging: 2.25 inches when folded in half.

THE MAKERS

Community Crafts Association of the Philippines, popularly known as CCAP, is a social development nongovernmental organization committed to the development and empowerment of community–based Filipino artisans. CCAP provides marginalized artisans with export promotion and marketing assistance. Locally, CCAP links artisans with government or nongovernmental agencies supporting the handicraft industry. CCAP administers programs that have reached out to various sectors of the society such as the disabled, indigenous groups, urban poor and rural poor communities. Currently CCAP works with more than 600 active artisans nationwide. Ten Thousand Villages has purchased products from CCAP since 1985.
