Retablos, image boxes portraying scenes of faith and daily life, were brought to Peru from Spain. Tiny figurines are hand-molded from ceramic and carefully arranged inside a painted eggshell. Our fair trade partner Manos Amigas works with small workshops across Peru, helping them find new markets for their products and supporting health and education in maker communities.
