This wind chime features skills of Ghanaian craftsmanship passed down through generations. Recycled bottles are crushed, added to hand-formed clay molds and fired in a kiln to form circular glass beads the color of sea and sky. The wire frame is forged and hammered by hand. Maker Dan Doku learned the art from his grandfather; Ghana is famous for its various glass beads, used throughout history as currency and for ceremonies.
